dCELL® Technology offers a unique approach to regenerative medicine.
The dCELL Technology process is gentle and efficient — and powerful: It produces allograft and xenograft tissue matricses that retain the native collagen structure, and an intact acellular matrix.
The dCELL® process removes cellular and DNA material from biological tissues, through a patented series of gentle washes, leaving intact an acellular matrix upon which the patient's cells can regenerate and re-populate, so that new tissue is created which is recognized and accepted by the body, rather than being at risk of rejection.
dCELL® Technology provides an enhanced healing environment, in terms of both natural, tissue-specific physical structure and biomechanical properties. Grafts made using dCELL® Technology give the patient a receptive scaffold that supports cell migration during the natural healing process, while maintaining appropriate tissue strength. This allows the remodelling process to occur, allowing the graft to become a part of the patients own tissue.
