 John Samuel was formerly CEO of the Mölnlycke Health Care Group (MHCG), one of the world’s leading providers of single-use surgical and wound care products and services to the healthcare sector. MHCG was created from the successful integration of 3 companies (Regent, Medlock and Mölnlycke) and was acquired by Investor AB in March 2007 for approximately €2.85bn. Previous to this John was involved with several companies including AIM listed Purewafer plc and has held a number of senior finance positions in industry, including Ellis & Everard plc and Whessoe plc. |

  One of the founders of Tissue Regenix, John is also Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Leeds, director of the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Centre of Industrial Collaboration (BITECIC), and director of the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering. John's expertise is in total replacement joints, artificial heart valves and soft tissue biomechanics. He is a key global opinion leader, consulting extensively at high levels with major multi-national orthopaedic and cardiovascular companies around the world, advising on new product development, and providing key input to global R&D strategies. John's track record in innovation and exploitation includes designer and inventor of Köhler Medical bioprosthetic heart valve portfolio, licensed in 1990 and currently with twelve years' clinical success, and designer and inventor of a ceramic-on-metal hip prosthesis licensed to DePuy Johnson and Johnson and now in the second year of clinical trials. Professor Fisher is a co-inventor of 10 patents, six of which have been successfully licensed. |

  A founder of Tissue Regenix, Eileen is also Professor of Medical Immunology, director of the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering, a member of the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Leeds (CRISTAL) and the Skin Research Centre. Her particular area of expertise is in tissue engineering, biocompatibility, immunology and the biological activity of materials. |

  A material scientist by training, Christina is currently visiting Professor at the University of Exeter School of Engineering and University of Surrey Materials Institute. Christina has extensive experience in medical technology taking roles in various major corporations, leading international R&D groups. She directed development plans, acquisition, technology transfer and route to market for many new technologies and materials. She was VP Applied Research for Stryker International until 2000, then joining the BTG plc Medical Technology group with responsibility for development. Christina has an MBA (Open), PhD, MSC, and BSc (Hons) and is a Chartered Engineer. She maintains an interest in UK science policy and funding; sitting on the UK EPSRC strategic User Panel since 2001. |

  Simon acts as Chief Operating Officer for Tissue Regenix and oversees the day to day commercial activities of the business. Most recently, Simon worked for IP Group plc, specialising in identifying commercial opportunities from University research and establishing and growing early stage companies. Previously he spent 5 years researching orthopaedic tissue substitution and replacement following a stint in the mining industry with Australian Gold Refineries. Simon holds honours degrees in chemistry and mechanical engineering and a PhD in bioengineering. Simon is also a Chartered Professional Engineer. |

 Alan Miller is the former Chief Investment Officer of New Star Asset Management which he helped to grow substantially from its formation in early 2001 until his departure in 2007. He was previously a Director at Jupiter Asset Management where he started the first UK Equity long/short hedge fund in 1997. He has also worked at Gartmore Investment Management and Hermes Investment Management, specialising in managing various high performance UK equity funds. Alan has a degree in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Birmingham, is a qualified Management Accountant and holds investment qualifications from the Society of Investment Analysts, the London Stock Exchange and the London Business School. He is a director of several private companies. |

 Alex is a director of Aquarius Equity Partners, one of the investors in Tissue Regenix. He began his career as a scientist, before focusing on identification, establishment and growth of high value technology businesses. Alex worked for Techtran from formation through to its sale to main market listed IP Group in 2005. Following the acquisition, Alex worked in a variety of roles within the Group and managed investments in portfolio companies including Avacta and Syntopix (where he was also CEO), both of which listed on AIM in 2006. Most recently, Alex was a founder and Chief Operating Officer of Modern Biosciences plc, the drug development subsidiary of IP Group. Alex holds a PhD and was awarded an MBA with distinction from the University of Leeds. |

 Antony Odell has extensive commercial experience in the med tech sector. As well as working as co-director of Xeno Medical a highly successful medtech consultancy, he was CEO for a UK NHS cardiovascular device spin-out, Tayside Flow Technologies Ltd. Antony has a strong corporate sector background having worked for J&J for almost 10 years in European business development roles for Drug Delivery & Vascular Access and General Manager (UK) for Fresenius (Critical Care). Subsequently he gained orthopaedic experience in International Marketing for Howmedica (Pfizer) and then joined the UK public company, BTG plc in 1998. Between 1999 and 2002 he had the position, VP Medical. |

 Helen is responsible for biology, quality systems, health & safety and the pre-clinical studies of current and future products. Previously, Helen worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Institute of Medical & Biological Engineering at the University of Leeds and was instrumental in the development of the tissue engineering research within this multidisciplinary institute. Helen has a PhD in Immunology and a BSc in Microbiology from Leeds University. |
