Tissue Regenix was founded in May 2006, to commercialise innovative tissue engineering technologies. The underpinning science was developed over the last decade in the world-leading Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering at the University of Leeds by Professors John Fisher and Eileen Ingham. The research has received in excess of £4 million grant funding to date from UK research councils (EPSRC, BBSRC) and the Children's Heart Surgery Fund.
 The business has exclusive rights over several platform technologies in regenerative tissue engineering. Tissue Regenix is led by a team of experienced commercial and technical specialists who are world-wide leaders in the field.
Tissue Regenix is focussed on delivering two lead products into the clinic - a vascular patch and an A-V graft - and has an extensive pipeline of follow-on product offerings in both the cardiac and orthopaedic areas, as well as other areas.
